My progress is gone on my new phone. What can I do?

Fly to Friday has no account and stores your progress (best score, bonus account, characters and outfits, goals and daily tasks, and settings) only on your device. It gets to a new device through your device backup:

  • iPhone: Your progress is part of your iCloud Backup or the backup on your computer. Restore your new iPhone from that backup when you set it up, or transfer your data directly from your old iPhone.
  • Android: Your progress is part of the Android backup in your Google Account (Settings › Google › Backup, on some devices Settings › System › Backup). When setting up your new device, choose to restore from that backup or to copy data from your old device. Android backs up app data about once a day while the device is charging and on Wi-Fi, so your most recent runs may be missing.

Progress cannot be transferred between iPhone and Android. If you delete the game without a backup, your progress is gone. We cannot restore it because we never receive it. Your leaderboard entries remain in Game Center or Google Play Games, but they don’t restore your progress.

How do I remove the ads?

At the moment, the ads can’t be turned off. We plan a one-time purchase “Remove ads”; purchase and payment will then be handled by Apple or Google. Once it exists, this page will explain how it works.

Already today: ad videos, for example to ask for an extension or to swap a daily task, only appear if you start them yourself. Interstitial ads appear only occasionally between two shifts, never during a shift.

How do I change my privacy settings for ads?

  • In the game: Settings › “Privacy settings” (in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland) opens Google’s consent dialog again. There you can change or withdraw your consent at any time.
  • iPhone: Under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, you allow or block tracking for the game.
  • Android: You reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings › Google › All services › Ads.

The game works the same whatever you choose. Without consent, you see ads that are not tailored to you. Details are in the privacy policy.

The ad video doesn’t load. What can I do?

Ads need an internet connection. If no video appears, this is usually due to a weak connection, an ad blocker, a VPN or a DNS filter (e.g. Private DNS on Android), or Google has no suitable ad at the moment. Try again shortly, ideally on Wi-Fi.

You only get the extension if the video plays to the end. Without a video, this shift unfortunately can’t be continued. You can play without an internet connection.

I saw an inappropriate ad

In many ads, you can use the info icon (AdChoices) to report or hide the ad directly with Google. You can also report the ad to us: Settings › “Report an ad” opens a prepared email to apps@sprint-zero.de. Add roughly when you saw the ad and what it showed, ideally with a screenshot. We will review the ad and block it in AdMob if necessary.

How do the leaderboards work?

The leaderboards run on Game Center (iPhone) and Google Play Games (Android). The game shows the leaderboard button on the start screen as soon as leaderboards are available on your device. If you are signed in there, the game automatically submits your result after a shift to the best-score leaderboard and shows you your rank. You change your player name and profile picture in Game Center or Google Play Games, not in the game. The leaderboards for iPhone and Android are separate.

  • No entry? Check that you are signed in and online. It can take a few minutes for a result to appear.
  • Don’t want to appear? Sign out: on iPhone under Settings › Game Center, on Android in the Google Play Games app. The game then works just the same, only without leaderboards.

How can I reach you?

Email us at apps@sprint-zero.de, in English or German. It helps if you include your device model, operating system version and the game’s version.

How the game handles your data is described in the games’ privacy policy. The game is provided by Sprint Zero UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Münster, Germany; see our legal notice (German).
